Yes.  We are ITAR and ISO 9001:2015 certified and GMP compliant (Quality Services Regulation, QSR).  We have worked on many projects in the past that have needed such certification.

Both.  We specialize in full turnkey custom ASIC production, but we can also do projects that involve ASIC designs only.  We love exploring new ideas and helping our clients in any way possible.

Sigenics has in-house capability for analog testing and low-speed digital testing; we subcontract package assembly and high-speed digital testing from other vendors.

Depending on the complexity of the project, start to finish can range anywhere from 9 months to 18 months.  We will generally spend a large amount of upfront time making sure that each and every specification is being met before beginning design work.  We want to spend more time going over specs, so that we can spend less time completing revisions on the back end.

There is no minimum order quantity, however, we do advise having a larger quantity so that the PPP (price per part) is lower.  Due to the non-recurring engineering (NRE) costs, it is much more cost-effective to order a larger quantity of chips.

Sigenics can manufacture any required quantity of ASIC units, but we operate most efficiently and effectively for manufacturing volumes between ten thousand units per year and one million units per year.

Sigenics, Si is the element silicon.  The suffix, -genic, defines as to produce or cause.  Sigenics makes silicon chips happen.

An ASIC, application-specific integrated circuit, is a specialized integrated circuit used for a specific application.

Sigenics has two locations in the United States.  The main office is located in Chicago, IL, and we also have a design center located in Los Osos, CA.  

We have a team of in-house engineers who work together on each project.  You will also be in communication with our Director of Engineering and/or Chief Technology Officer throughout the entirety of your project.

Some want an ASIC because they need to reduce size, weight, and power requirements for some electronic function in their product (reduced compared to the same function constructed using commercial off-the-shelf parts).  ASICs are a great way to allow for more space in a tightly-spaced electronic design.
